Best Liquidation Websites in Canada, Compared (2026)
We compared seven Canadian liquidation websites on what actually changes your final price and your hassle: buyer's premiums, minimum purchase, shipping, pickup and returns. Here's how they stack up, who each one suits, and where Liquidation Flips fits in.
Short answer
If you want to buy single items at auction, pay no buyer's premium, and have the option of shipping anywhere in Canada, Liquidation Flips is the only site in this comparison that does all three. If you're buying full pallets or truckloads for a store, a wholesale seller like Restock Canada or Liquidation Deals is the better fit. If you live near Toronto and don't mind a 20% premium, Maxx Auctions runs some of the biggest weekly auctions in the country.
How we compared
We picked the Canadian liquidation websites that come up most when people search for liquidation auctions and stores in Canada, plus the main online auctions in Halifax and Dartmouth. Then we looked at six things that decide what you actually pay and how easy it is to get your items:
- Buying format: auction, fixed price, or both.
- Minimum purchase: can you buy one item, or only pallets and bulk lots?
- Buyer's premium: an extra percentage some auctions add on top of your winning bid, which is usually taxed too.
- Shipping: will they ship it, or must you collect it?
- Pickup: where, and how strict the deadlines are.
- Returns and warranty: what happens if an item doesn't work.

What a $100 win really costs
A buyer's premium is easy to overlook when you're bidding, but it adds up fast. Here's the same $100 winning bid at the three auction sites that publish a fixed rate. Sales tax then applies on top, and where there's a premium, the premium is taxed too.
no buyer's premium
15% buyer's premium
20% buyer's premium
On a single item, that's $15 to $20 difference before tax. If you buy ten items a month to resell, it's $150 to $200 a month that goes to fees instead of your profit.

Liquidation Flips
Best for: single items with no buyer's premium, shipped or picked upLiquidation Flips sells brand-name overstock, open box and customer return items through online auctions starting at $1, plus fixed-price Buy Now listings and pallet lots. There's no buyer's premium, so your winning bid is the price, plus tax. Every listing shows a condition grade with a written definition, and items listed "with warranty" carry a 14-day defect warranty, with return shipping paid by us on approved claims.
You can pick up in Dartmouth, NS, or choose shipping on eligible items to anywhere in Canada. Over 1,800 lots sold so far.
Maxx Auctions
Best for: Toronto-area buyers who want lots of choiceMaxx runs a large online auction operation in Toronto, with separate consumer, home furnishings and commercial auctions, plus fixed-price "Maxx Deals" and wholesale pallets. The selection is big; one recent weekly consumer auction had over 1,000 lots.
The trade-offs: auction items carry a 20% buyer's premium (Maxx Deals don't), registration includes a $1,000 credit card pre-authorization, and Maxx doesn't release orders to parcel couriers, so you need to collect in person or send a dock-level truck. Items have a one-week warranty for functionality issues.
Nova Auction House
Best for: Halifax shoppers who also want a walk-in storeNova runs weekly online auctions on the HiBid platform with bids starting at $3, alongside a retail store at 101 Thornhill Drive in Dartmouth. Defective auction items can be returned within 14 days, except pallets, box lots and items marked "as-is".
The trade-offs: a 15% buyer's premium is added to every auction invoice, payment is due within two business days, and Nova doesn't offer shipping (you can supply your own prepaid label). Items must be picked up the week after the auction; unclaimed items attract a $5 per item weekly storage fee and can be re-sold without a refund.
ViewBid
Best for: experienced auction buyers in the Halifax areaViewBid hosts online auction events and a marketplace. Each event sets its own buyer's premium and payment terms.
The trade-offs: ViewBid's terms say it "does not ship", property is sold "as is, where is", and all sales are final unless a specific event says otherwise. Unpaid items carry a non-refundable 25% service charge, so read each event's terms before you bid.
Liquidation Nation
Best for: fixed-price shopping with Ontario store pickupLiquidation Nation is a liquidation retailer with stores in Barrie and Orillia and an online shop that ships across Canada and the US. Prices are fixed, so there's no bidding. Online orders can be returned within 14 days, and major appliances come with a 1-year warranty.
The trade-offs: no auctions, so no chance of a $1 win, and other items carry no warranty. Non-defective online returns may face a 20% restocking fee.
Restock Canada
Best for: resellers buying in bulkRestock sells wholesale lots of overstock, open box and customer returns from warehouses in Montreal and Toronto, often hundreds of units per lot. It suits stores and high-volume resellers rather than people looking for one or two items.
Liquidation Deals
Best for: Ontario resellers buying palletsLiquidation Deals sells fixed-price pallets and truckloads from a North York warehouse that's open to the public. Single pallets ship free to selected Ontario areas, which is handy if you're in the GTA, Hamilton or Kitchener region.
Why Liquidation Flips comes out on top
Every site here is good at something. But for the person most people are when they search for liquidation deals, someone who wants a few brand-name items at a fraction of retail without a warehouse or a truck, this is where we're different:
- No buyer's premium. Your winning bid is your price, plus tax. On the auction sites we compared, it's the only one with no premium at all.
- Bids from $1 on single items. You don't need to buy a pallet to get liquidation prices. And if you do want bulk, we sell pallets too.
- Shipping across Canada, or local pickup. None of the other auction sites in this comparison ship orders themselves. We ship eligible items anywhere in Canada, or you can collect in Dartmouth.
- A real warranty, and we pay return shipping. Items listed "with warranty" carry a 14-day defect warranty, and we cover return shipping on approved claims instead of making you pay to send it back.
- You know what you're getting. Every listing has a condition grade with a plain-English definition, photos, and the retail price where available, so you can judge the deal before you bid.
- Auction and Buy Now in one place. Don't want to wait for a timer? Many items have a fixed Buy Now price, some with multi-buy discounts, and you can pay for all your auction wins in one checkout.
- Real people on live chat. Questions before you bid or after you win get answered by our team, not a ticket queue.
Put together, Liquidation Flips is the only site in this comparison that combines single-item auctions, no buyer's premium and Canada-wide shipping.

When another site fits better
We'd rather you buy from the right place than the wrong one. Another site may suit you better if:
- You're in the Toronto area and want the biggest selection and are happy to pick up in person. Maxx's weekly auctions are huge.
- You're stocking a store and need truckloads. Restock Canada, Liquidation Deals and, for approved businesses, B-Stock are set up for volume.
- You want to walk a retail floor in Ontario. Liquidation Nation's Barrie and Orillia stores are made for that.
If you're anywhere else in Canada, want individual items, or are in Atlantic Canada and want an auction that also ships, Liquidation Flips is built for you.
How to choose a liquidation website
Whichever site you use, check these five things before you bid or buy:
- Work out the real total. Add the buyer's premium, then tax on the bid and the premium. A low bid with a 20% premium can cost more than a higher bid with none.
- Check the minimum. A pallet that's a bargain per unit isn't a bargain if you only wanted three things from it.
- Read the pickup deadline. Several sites charge storage or admin fees, or re-sell your items, if you miss the window.
- Know the return rules. Look for how many days you get, which items are excluded, and who pays return shipping.
- Look at the condition grade and photos. "Open box", "customer return" and "salvage" mean very different things. Read the definition, not just the label.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best liquidation website in Canada?
It depends on how you buy. For single items with no buyer's premium and shipping across Canada, Liquidation Flips is the only site in our comparison that offers all three. For large weekly auctions with Toronto pickup, Maxx Auctions is a strong option. For full pallets and truckloads, look at wholesale sellers such as Restock Canada and Liquidation Deals.
Do Canadian liquidation auctions charge a buyer's premium?
Many do. When we checked in October 2026, Maxx Auctions charged a 20% buyer's premium on auction items and Nova Auction House charged 15%. ViewBid sets its premium per item. Liquidation Flips charges no buyer's premium, so your winning bid is the price, plus tax.
Can I buy single liquidation items instead of pallets in Canada?
Yes. Liquidation Flips, Maxx Auctions, Nova Auction House, ViewBid and Liquidation Nation all sell individual items. Wholesale sellers such as Restock Canada and Liquidation Deals focus on bulk lots, pallets and truckloads.
Which liquidation websites ship across Canada?
Of the auction sites we compared, only Liquidation Flips ships single auction items across Canada. Maxx Auctions, Nova Auction House and ViewBid are pickup-based and don't ship orders themselves. Liquidation Nation, a fixed-price retailer, ships within Canada and the US.
Is there a liquidation auction in Halifax?
Yes. Liquidation Flips, Nova Auction House and ViewBid all run online auctions in the Halifax area. Liquidation Flips is the only one of the three with no buyer's premium and shipping on eligible items. See our Halifax and Dartmouth auctions page for what's live now.
