How to register on Liquidation Flips, step by step.

Creating your account is free and takes about 5 minutes. Follow the steps below and you'll be ready to bid and buy. Keep this page open in another tab while you sign up.

The 5 steps

Create your account

Go to liquidationflips.ca/register.html, or tap Register at the top of any page. Then fill in:

  1. First and last name.
  2. Email address. Use one you can open right now. You'll see "This email is available!" If it says "This email is already in use," you already have an account, so log in instead.
  3. Password. At least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character (like ! or #). Each rule turns green as you meet it. Tap the eye icon to check what you typed.
  4. How did you hear about us? Pick an option from the list.
  5. Referral code (optional). If a friend gave you one, enter it here.

Tap CREATE ACCOUNT.

Verify your email

You'll see a page saying "One step left — verify your email." Now open your inbox:

  1. Find the email from Liquidation Flips titled "Activate your Liquidation Flips account."
  2. Tap the green Activate my account button. (Reminder emails call it Verify my email; either works.)

Can't find it? Check your spam, junk and promotions folders. The link works for about one hour; if it expires, tap Resend verification email and use the newest email.

Complete your profile

The link opens your account setup. Your email is already filled in. Check your name, then:

  1. Enter your primary phone number. Use a mobile that can receive texts, because the next step sends a code to it. An alternate number is optional.
  2. Tick the three boxes: you agree to the Terms of Use, you're over 18, and you understand the buyer's agreement.
  3. The newsletter box is optional. Leave it ticked to hear about new auctions and deals, or untick it.

Tap Next.

Confirm your phone

We text a short verification code to the number you entered. Type it into the Verification Code box and tap Next.

No text? Give it a minute, then tap "Didn't get your pin? Resend." If it still doesn't come, tap Back and check your number for typos.

Finish and log in

Your email and phone are now verified. Tap Finish creating my account. No card is needed to sign up; if you choose shipping, you'll add a delivery address at checkout.

Add your billing address (start typing and pick it from the list, or enter it manually), your contact address (or tick "same as billing"), and your card details.

Tap Authorize Hold. This places a temporary authorization of CAD $100 on your card to confirm it's valid. It is not a charge. The hold drops off on its own, usually within a few days to a week depending on your bank.

You'll be taken to the login screen. Log in with your email and password, and you're ready to bid and buy.

Having trouble?

I didn't get the verification email

Check your spam, junk and promotions folders for "Activate your Liquidation Flips account." Still nothing? On the page you saw after signing up, tap Resend verification email. Make sure you typed your email correctly; if not, you can simply register again with the right one.

My verification link has expired

Links last about an hour. Request a fresh one with Resend verification email and use the newest email, since older links stop working.

It says my email is already in use

You already have an account. Log in instead, or use Forgot password on the login screen to set a new password.

My password isn't accepted

It needs at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character such as !, # or $. Each rule under the box turns green when it's met.

I didn't get the text message code

Wait a minute, then tap "Didn't get your pin? Resend." If it still doesn't arrive, tap Back and check your phone number. Use a mobile number that can receive texts.

Why do you need my card?

We place a temporary authorization of CAD $100 to confirm your card is valid and to protect sellers from fake accounts. It is not a charge, and it drops off on its own, usually within a few days to a week depending on your bank.

Does it cost anything to register?

No. Creating an account is completely free, and there's no buyer's premium when you win.
